However, I chose to read Andrea Bocelli's autobiography, "The Music of Silence: A Memoir," out of curiosity for this man whose voice has the warmth of a cozy fire, resonance of a cello, and familiar tone of a father's words.

When Professor Francis James Child of Harvard was preparing his magisterial edition of The English and Scottish Popular Ballads, he made enquiries about it, but it was not made available in time to be considered for his work. Others are downright epic; inwriter James Tytler, stung by a bad review, composed a satire about the critic, whom he named "Alexander Tumbleturd." The song, entitled "The Farto-Turdoniad: A Ballad," is 20 quatrains filled with flatulence and feces.
